WAUW!

A surprising ode to wonder

WAUW! is a physical and musical performance for toddlers, showcasing the world through the eyes of toddlers and preschoolers. For young children, everything is ‘wow’ – even their own reflection in a shop window. Where adults see a toppled plant pot as an obstacle and a dirty chore, young children are more so fascinated by the worms that emerge. While the adult world is often black and white, children perceive far more color.

This performance highlights that things that seem ordinary or even problematic are often much more interesting, exciting, and beautiful than we initially think. The WOW factor is almost always there, as long as we take the time to truly look.

In the performance WAUW!, we use fans made from 100% recycled paper as an important part of the set design. These fans can take on different shapes, adding to the magical atmosphere of the show. Of course, we also want to give children the chance to get creative themselves. With this download button, you can print and fold your own fan — just like the ones used in the performance! That way, you can create a little piece of WOW! magic at home.
